ITarek Bouraque is a Moroccan director, producer, and educator whose documentary practice moves between observational and hybrid forms, engaging questions of borders, migration, collective memory, and ethical representation. He is a faculty member at The Juilliard School, where he teaches graduate seminar Film History and Grammar: A Global Perspective. He has directed and produced projects for Al Jazeera English, AJ+, National Geographic, Euronews, SIC (Portugal), ORF (Austria), and the MacArthur Foundation. His films have screened at selected venues including Anthology Film Archives (New York), Docfilm Institute (San Francisco), and the Academy of Film at HKBU (Hong Kong), and have been featured at Africa Films for Impact Festival (Nigeria).

He has also taught film, documentary, and emerging media within the City University of New York (CUNY), as well as at Downtown Community Television Center and the New York Film Academy. He holds an MFA in Integrated Media Arts from Hunter College (CUNY) and a BA in Journalism and Communication from ESJ Paris/Casablanca. He is co-founder of Global Fronteras Production (France), and has lived and worked across Morocco, Tunisia, France, Spain, and the United States.
