Our works-in-progress workshops are at the core of our community. It is the space where we come together to gain fresh perspective on work, to flex our (constructively) critical muscles, and to be part of a fellowship with other filmmakers.
Before you apply, please note:
We ask that you be actively working on a project you’d like to workshop with the group. (Questions about what this means? See the Current Work section of the application below, or read more here.)
Dues for the season are on a sliding scale from $75-$150. Financial support is available and can be requested through a financial aid form once admitted.
Attendance is crucial to the success of the collective. Filmshop members are expected to attend 75% of meetings.
In previous seasons, Filmshop NOLA has met weekly on Thursday night, from 6:30-9pm CT. Future meeting night TBD. Meetings are in person, with an option to join virtually.
