REBECCA GIALANELLA
Writer, Director, Production Designer
Rebecca Gialanella is a Pittsburgh-raised, NYC-based writer, director, and designer passionate about comedic stories that focus on painting the inner worlds of young women on screen. Currently the Art & Visuals Designer for (Emmy-Winning) The Daily Show, Rebecca has designed numerous television segments, feature films, short films, and commercials since moving to NYC in 2021. She holds a degree in film, television, and theater from Rider University and is an associate member of the Set Decorator Society of America.
Currently making the festival rounds, "He's Typing..." is her debut short film as writer/director/actor and was filmed with a micro-budget in Brooklyn, NY. She lives in the Upper West Side with her boyfriend, Ross, and their beloved cat, Picasso (pico de gallo for short).
