Jeff Camp
Writer, Producer
Jeff Camp writes prestige TV dramas set in low places, driven by beautiful losers, unfortunate soldiers, and ambitious romantics. His short film Oscar Zulu screened at Palm Springs ShortFest (Industry Library) and FilmLand.
Originally from the Ohio Valley, Jeff served as a firefighter in the U.S. Air Force, including a tour in Iraq. His closest call came not in combat, but on a remote Pacific island, when a routine brush fire revealed a World War II white phosphorus grenade.
After his service, he earned a BA in History, magna cum laude, from Baruch College at CUNY. As a student, he became involved in political organizing, where he discovered filmmaking as a tool for collaboration, communication, and occasional troublemaking.
He is currently developing Ranaqua, a political coming-of-age series set in a Rust Belt town.
