Christopher Dawes is a filmmaker based in Brooklyn, NY. He has worked on numerous projects as a producer, director, editor, cinematographer, voiceover artist, archivist, and reluctant actor. Film credits include AN UNEXPECTED COMMUNITY, which premiered at The Long Beach QFilm Festival, winning best documentary feature, THIS IS JESSICA, which premiered at Outfest Los Angeles, winning the audience award for Best Documentary Feature before going on to play at multiple festivals, Amazon, & iTunes). BEFORE HOMOSEXUALS premiered at The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, going on to screen at Wicked Queer Film Festival, Out Film CT winning the audience award, before going on to play at Amazon & iTunes.
FAGBUG NATION, which won Best Female Director at The PollyGrind Film Festival and the Vision Award at The Utopia Film Festival before going on to screen at Maui Pride Film Festival, NY No Limits Film Festival, Amazon & iTunes. Chris also produced over 30 mini-documentaries for the award-winning Out at the Center television newsmagazine.
