ALBERT BENIADA

Director / Writer

My family always encouraged me to cultivate my deepest creative interests. I am a passionate writer and director, and filmmaking, for me, is a singular way to synthesize my experiences and observations to create something beautiful and true.

As the Executive Director of Filmshop, I relish championing a dynamic community of filmmakers.

I have directed over a dozen short films, encompassing both scripted and documentary, most recently “How to Pack Up Your Life in One Day,” which had its festival premiere at Lighthouse International this summer. I’m in development on three new short film projects: a holiday road movie; one set in Miami, called “Carla from 3 to 3:05”; and one set all over New York, called “Henry Turns 50.”

I live with my partner and our pampered Frenchie, Hugo, in New York and Miami, two different cities we call home.
