WILLIAM WINSTON

William Winston is a filmmaker and writer based in Westchester County, NY. After graduating from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts with a degree in film production, his Anthropology of Media/Visual Anthropology work earned him a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship to support his graduate degree from Rutgers University. William's film work has screened at venues such as the NY Shorts International Film Festival, Hayti Heritage Film Festival, and Seattle Black Film Festival. His screenwriting has been included on the Coverfly Red List and recognized by several screenwriting competitions, including the Page Awards, ScreenCraft, Austin Film Festival, Atlanta Film Festival, WeScreenplay, Roadmap Writers, Scriptapalooza, and Inroads Fellowship. In 2021, William was a finalist and selected participant in the Stowe Story Labs.
