Starling Thomas is an accomplished storyteller and filmmaker, bringing her creative vision and passion for cinema to Filmshop as the Digital Communications Director. With a track record that includes winning the Best Screenplay award at the Circle City Film Festival for her short film Harvest, Starling's talent extends beyond the page as she also produced and directed this celebrated work.
Her writing prowess is evident as a writer for the Emmy-nominated show #WASHED, and she's a semi-finalist in the Unique Voices Screenplay Competition for her feature screenplay Finding Serenity. Armed with an MFA in screenwriting from Regent University, Starling is dedicated not only to crafting compelling narratives but also to nurturing the next generation of filmmakers through her work on the board of the Dallas Film Alliance, where she taught screenwriting and production to underserved youth.
