SARAH GURFIELD

Director

Sarah Gurfield is a comedy director. She loves not wearing a suit to work. When Gurfield’s not working, this L.A. native practices for retirement by reading feminist mystery novels and playing Rummikub.

Gurfield’s screen credits include directing the first season of “The Donors,” a digital comedy series for Lionsgate’s Laugh Out Loud network, executive produced by Kevin Hart. Her new short, “BOY EATS GIRL: A Zombie Love Story” debuted six months ago, and has been an official selection at over a dozen festivals (including Cinequest and Cleveland), winning three Best Comedy awards. Her previous short, “THUMB” screened at over thirty festivals and won a number of Best Comedy awards.

Gurfield is a Brown University graduate, a member of SDC and AEA, and a director at The Actors Studio, where she was selected for membership by Martin Landau and Mark Rydell in 2012.
