Actor, Writer, Producer Margarita is a Russian/Jewish award nominated actor & award-winning filmmaker. Dedicated to smashing the patriarchy and white supremacy, Margarita embraced writing and producing, leading them to Co-Found Besties Make Movies (BMM) with Stacey Maltin.
They recently wrote, produced & acted in the short film JONES which is currently doing festivals, which has won Best Drama Short in addition to several Best Short, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Editing nominations. Their short film 2 WEEKS kicked off its festival run with a premiere at the prestigious Oxford Film Festival. As an actor, Mars just wrapped production as the leading role of Maggie in the feature TRIPLE THREAT and keeps their acting chops in peak condition as a cast member of The Velodrome Theater Co. Mars is a member of The Filmshop, NYWIFT, Dreamers // Doers, The COBWEB, NYC Women Filmmakers, GlassElevator & Women in Media and are a judge for the Revolution Me Film Festival.
