JODY BORHANI-D’AMICO

Producer, Cinematographer, Visual Artist (oils)

Jody Borhani-D’Amico is a visual storyteller in 3 formats: oil paint, digital photography and cinema. Through intricate portraits and landscapes, she explores adventure, fear and the presence of unseen burdens. Nature, and our relationship with it, drive her storytelling and her techniques.

Jody also draws inspiration from childhood memories of her terminally ill sibling as well as her mom’s family stories, from her years of teaching filmmaking and working in the carceral system, from her forays into the unloved spaces of deindustrialized America.

She is currently shooting her first documentary about 2 dying malls located 2 blocks apart. BA NYU Film, UCLAExt Cinematography, Alum of the School of Life, Dog Person!
