HILARY KLOTZ STEINMAN

Hilary Klotz Steinman is an Emmy award winning independent documentary film producer, and has been producing investigative, vérité, and historical documentary films for over 15 years, with a focus on women’s history, health and reproductive issues, as well as films exploring pressing social issues such as foster care youth aging out of the system and exploited Chinese workers in electronics factories.

Hilary won an Emmy award for co-producing “The Pill,” about the history of the birth control pill and its impact on America lives for the PBS series American Experience. Hilary has also been honored with the Christopher Award and an Emmy nomination for the PBS series “Slavery and the Making of America,” and an Emmy nomination for her research on the Bill Moyers PBS series “Becoming American: The Chinese Experience.” Hilary’s work has also been featured on NBC, MSNBC, CNBC, Al Jazeera and at the New York Historical Society.
