Cierra is a filmmaker and storyteller born, bred, and based in New Orleans. She has a BA in English with a minor in Digital Filmmaking from Loyola University New Orleans. Developing a love for storytelling at a young age, she has written escapist novels and short stories primarily in the science fiction and urban fantasy genres for a young adult audience. She is currently adapting one of her manuscripts into an episodic screenplay.
Through filmmaking she hopes to explore and shed light on stories that often go untold through perspectives that may not often be heard. Her debut film, "Looking at the Edges", is a short documentary about New Orleans East, a community often overlooked and neglected by the rest of the city. It was an official selection of the Crescent City Film and Arts Festival.
