christopher givens
Writer, Producer, Director
Born in Monroe, Louisiana to a pair of choral teachers, Christopher Givens grew up in Baptist churches, public libraries, and Blockbuster Video. He's been living and working in New Orleans since 2006 when he began a degree in Film Studies at the University of New Orleans.
While earning an MFA in Theatre Design at Tulane University, Chris was a fellow of the Mellon Program for Community Engagement where he partnered with the Beaubourg Theatre to begin a tuition-free educational platform which pays teachers to facilitate a range of knowledge sharing and personal practices.
