BEN SOMECK
Writer, Director
Ben Someck is a writer and director based in New York. He was born and raised in Netanya, a coastal city in Israel and made the move to the U.S. when he was 20. He studied creative writing at NYU, and later somehow found his way to into improv and stand up. His writings take the shape of comedies and dramas that aim to explore the psychological development (& regression) of his characters.
His recent short film, JIMBO, was screened in 5 international festivals including Short Shorts Film Festival in Tokyo. He currently writes for an Israeli based newspaper and is working on developing and producing a series of short stories he wrote.
