Austin is a writer, director, editor, voice-over artist, Gilbert & Sullivan enthusiast, and little spoon. His films and screenplays have been recognized at major festivals including Nashville, Phoenix, Denver, Bahamas, Portland, and Tallgrass.
He also won two Telly Awards and an Internet Advertising Competition award for "Why Music?", a branded admissions video he made for the Yale School of Music. Austin loves to use comedy and genre to get at vulnerable emotions, particularly around intimacy, guilt, and shame.
He's currently in development on a short horror rom-com he wrote that won Killer Shorts Screenwriting Competition, and writing a feature based on it.
