Anne Checler is an award-winning editor with over 20 years of experience in documentaries, which have covered a wide range of topics from French Resistance fighters during WWII to slave labor in Brazil and voters’ rights in the U.S.Most recently she edited and co-produced, “Facing Eviction”, a documentary that explores the United States’ affordable housing crisis during the pandemic, which aired on PBS' Frontline in July 2022. Other recent credits include "Extremism in America", a series produced in collaboration with WNET and recognized with a 2022 Online Journalism Award for Best Digital Storytelling,  and “Bearing the Burden: Black Mothers in America” in partnership with The New Yorker, which received the Breaking Barriers Award from the Institute for Nonprofit News.

Anne’s work has been featured on Independent Lens, American Experience, NBC, France 2, The New York Times, The New Yorker, The Criterion Channel, WITNESS, DocNYC, and many other international film festivals.
