Rex New is currently residing in his hometown of Berwick, Louisiana, just outside Morgan City. He was nominated for a Writers Guild of America Award for co-writing the film DANCE CAMP, YouTube's first original production.
His most recent project, BAD HOMBRES, is being produced by John Stalberg and David Frigerio. With Thia Schuessler, he founded Shy Ruby Productions. Their most recent film, a New Orleans-set musical called THE WEDDING SONG, is currently finishing its festival run.
