Nira Burstein

Nira Burstein is an award-winning filmmaker and director based in New York City. Her short film I Said Light premiered at the Portland Underground Film Festival and the narrative short, Off & Away, premiered at the Brooklyn Film Festival. Charm Circle is her documentary debut, which is currently in post production and is being executive produced by Gigantic Pictures.
Nira is a Jerome Foundation grantee and Independent Film Project (IFP) Fellow. She is in post-production for a new narrative short and is producing a documentary web series exploring the lives and work of gender fluid artists. She has written, produced, and directed several music videos, premiering on VICE and Impose Magazine among others.
