Logline

When an true-crime enthusiast gets a cryptic call from her sister—using a secret code word from childhood, she must unravel a bread crumb trail of clues to try to find her.

Synopsis

Shelly, a hypochondriac shut-in, spends her days with her online True Crime Fantasy League, sleuthing away for missing women. Her structured and happy life is disrupted when her free-spirited sister, Carolyn, unexpectedly arrives at her apartment needing a place to crash for a mysterious job.

Despite their differences, Shelly enjoys Carolyn's stay, but things take a dark turn when Carolyn suddenly vanishes after a cryptic phone call, using their childhood distress code—"Red Dog"—before the line goes dead. Convinced her sister has been kidnapped, Shelly embarks on her own investigation, using her online sleuth Fantasy League and an unexpected, odd high school acquaintance, Jennifer “Jentucky”.

Shelly and Jen are thrust into a mystery that neither of them were prepared for.
