Matthew Ballen is a Brooklyn-based screenwriter/producer/director who loves dark, absurd and very human things, preferably all at once. He’s a sometimes headline contributor for the Onion, where he previously produced and occasionally directed over 40 web videos.
He recently co-wrote FRIEND REQUEST, a horror movie for Warner Bros. Germany starring Alycia Debnam-Carey (FEAR THE WALKING DEAD). He also co-wrote REUNION, an adapted screenplay for veteran Academy Award-winning producer Arthur Cohn. He's currently working on writing a new horror spec and directing some shorts.
