Josh is a writer, producer, director, editor. He is the founder and creative director at Hitman Productions, where he produced numerous TV programs (for A&E, National Geographic, BBC America, etc). Hitman has also produced award-winning promos and trailers (for TLC, Sundance TV, TNT, AMC, etc), and produces short fiction films, which feature online at filmshortage.com and other sites.

Josh is also founder and creative director of Hitman’s non-profit arm, Helpman Productions. Through Helpman, with partner Maxine Trump, he has produced social issue documentaries for various non-profits, such as Greenpeace, Forest Stewardship Council, and Green Market.

Helpman also produced the award-winning feature documentary Musicwood in 2013. Musicwood has screened in film festivals, cinemas, television channels and universities worldwide. A New York Times Critics’ Pick, Musicwood is currently available through digital streaming services (iTunes, Amazon, etc).

His current film is Untitled Mike Heany Project, a documentary exploring death, filmmaking and friendship.
