Heather Spilkin is an award-winning writer, filmmaker, TV producer, and editor. Her films have screened at festivals across the country and at iconic NYC institutions such as Rooftop Films and Anthology Film Archives. As a writer and director, she creates wacky comedies that delve into the worlds of eccentric outsiders, obsessive hobbyists, and women who don’t play by the rules. Her web series pilot, Breaking and Entering, has screened at festivals across the country, winning six different awards along the way. She also produced and directed a feature documentary about Brooklyn’s rooftop pigeon breeders, which premiered to a sold-out crowd at the Rooftop Films Series.

Her TV producing and editing work includes programming for ABC, Food Network, Bravo, History, A&E, Lifetime, and TLC, with additional producing credits in branded content, narrative shorts, and feature documentaries.
