CHLOE KURABI

Archival Researcher + Producer / Director / Editor

My passion (and professional experience) lies mainly in editing, archival research & production.  I enjoy sleuthing for that 'perfect' photograph, piece of footage or audio. My work has appeared on HBO, PBS, MTV, & Ovation Network, and has screened at various festivals including; Sundance, Tribeca, Full Frame, and Berlinale. I've worked for filmmakers Spike Lee, Sam Pollard, Ricki Stern & Annie Sundberg.

Archival research highlights: investigating Daguerreotypes of enslaved people from 1850, and discovering audio reels from a Red Hot Chili Peppers Concert (w/ an Iggy Pop Encore) circa 1996.

Currently I work at MTV Networks as an archive researcher on the Vault project. The Vault is a multi-year initiative to research, organize and digitize MTV’s archive of tapes from the1980s - 1990s, with the objective of making that content readily available to watch, request, and (ultimately) purchase online.
