Weenta Girmay is a documentary film producer/director. She produced the short documentary "The Place To Be," sponsored by the New Orleans Story Incubator Program, the City of New Orleans and Kickstarter. The film was a part of the celebration of the New Orleans tricentennial and premiered at the 2018 New Orleans Film Festival.
No matter what medium she’s working in, her strength is her ability to identify and creatively produce compelling stories. She’s most excited to tell women-centered stories and collaborate with other female filmmakers.
