Producer, Director, Editor

Ted Sananman is a Brooklyn-based filmmaker who recently completed a documentary fellowship at BRIC’s Brooklyn Free Speech. During which time, he made a documentary short called Ashley Ashley about two siblings, Maurice and Alicia Ashley, who channel their passion, talent and competitive fire into a path out of the drug violence of 1980s Brownsville, Brooklyn.

Over the years Ted has worn many creative hats. He received an MFA in Creative Writing (fiction) from New School University and has over a decade of experience as an award-winning interactive art director, designer, animator and developer. Ultimately, Ted is passionate about making and sharing things--whether a short story, interactive campaign, documentary film or life-sized cardboard yak.
