Jenn Shaw is an NYC based filmmaker raised in the beautiful bluegrass of Lexington, Kentucky. With a degree from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, she's directed a number of narrative films screened at festivals including Holly Shorts, AAWIC, Indie Fest, Orlando, Big Apple, Hollywood Black, Louisville International etc. In 2017, she was nominated for an American Pavilion Emerging Filmmaker Award at Cannes Film Festival and was in Shoot Magazine's DGA New Director showcase.
Her ESPN film "$15 Kicks” was executive produced by Spike Lee and won a Black Reel Award. Currently, she's in pre-production for her feature film "Lollies" and writing a sports-related feature script for 2019. Jenn’s directing style is a combination of edgy cinematic storytelling, quirky humor, and dramatic flair. As an artist, she is influenced by the support of family, friends, and her love of crafting diverse character driven stores for all platforms.
