Beth Miranda Botshon
Beth Miranda Botshon is a Brooklyn-based producer and director. Passionate about bringing compelling untold stories into the fold, she has spent the past decade producing original programs that inspire and entertain. Past productions include Firmes – a documentary for NAT GEO LATINO about Low Riders in the Bronx, Mariachi High – a PBS documentary about the world of high-school Mariachi competitions in the US, and Odd Ones Out, a GRANADA doc about three transgender teens coming of age in New York City. Additional highlights include NICKELODEON’S docu-comedy series Take Me To Your Mother and the WB’s docu-reality series High Drama: The Wizard of Oz. Beth also produces content for social and cultural institutions including the US Embassy in Nicaragua, Child Protective Services (ACS), and Tribeca Film Institute, among others. She recently completed production on a short for the non-profit Riverkeeper – a member supported watchdog organization dedicated to defending the Hudson River and the drinking water of 9 million NYC and Hudson Valley residents. The film screened at the organization’s 50th Anniversary Gala which raised over $1.6 million dollars in one evening. When she’s not out shooting a doc or promo for a non-profit, Beth enjoys writing and producing original comedy.
