Ben Feuer


Since graduating from Columbia University's MFA program, Ben has been fortunate to work as a narrative writer and director.

His dozens of writing competition placements include Black List Fellowship Finalist, Verizon Go90/BL Fellowship Finalist (both for FRONTIERSMEN), 2nd round of the Sundance/Sloan Grant, and 2nd place in Scriptapalooza. Ben has optioned scripts to Prime Universe Films, developed projects with Madhouse and Maven Pictures, and has worked with Sundance and Oscar-winning writers as a freelance story editor on dozens of projects, including BEING MARY JANE (Gabrielle Union), A DOG’S PURPOSE (Josh Gad) and the upcoming BEN IS BACK (Julia Roberts, Lucas Hedges). 

Ben and his directing projects have been invited to dozens of major film festivals, including Telluride, Clermont-Ferrand, Outfest and Frameline. His shorts have sold to major distributors such as Shorts International and have been seen millions of times around the world. In 2018, Ben directed Tony Award winner Bill Irwin in the SAG MLB feature film LUST LIFE, which is slated for its festival premiere in 2019 (current targets include SXSW and Berlin). 

In 2019, Ben’s graphic novel debut, a science fiction thriller called IDENTITY, is slated for release.

Ben is currently repped by manager Adrian Garcia for films, and Bob Mecoy (Creative Book Services) for novels.
