Producer, Director, Actress
Amy DePaola is a producer, director and actress. She has studied at numerous theaters including the historic Moscow Art Theater. She also holds a M.F.A. in Film from Emerson College. Amy’s credits include work that spans across narrative and documentary features, shorts and series.
In 2017, Amy debuted as a director on the festival circuit with her short memoir, AMYDEE. The film is a narrative that mixes cinema verite doc filmmaking to show the grueling training that Amy went through to compete in her first amateur boxing match. To date, the film has won several awards and was an official selection of the 2017 Provincetown Film Festival, the 2017 Woods Hole Film Festival and the 2017 Garden State Film Festival.
Amy lives in Queens. In her spare-time she enjoys boxing, cooking and stand-up comedy. She also hosts the podcast, PINK AMONG MEN.
